STUDY ON GEORADAR EXPLORATION FOR ANCIENT MINING TRACES

Ancient exploited traces of Tonglushan ancient copper mine occur in weathered soil of contact metamorphic zones between granite and marble . The obvious electric difference between backfill in exploited tunnel and original soil forms an important physical basis for application of georadar to investigating remains .The measurements of exploited vestiges Ⅰ , Ⅱ and Ⅲ of orebody Ⅶ at Tonglushan copper mine show that georadar exploration for irregular traces of ancient tunnels is less costly , higher efficient and more detailed in delineation of tunnels than drilling .
