APPLICATION OF GEOLOGICAL ANOMALY UNIT METHOD TO DELINEATION OF POTENTIAL MINERAL RESOURCES AREAS: AN EXAMPLE FROM TONGSHI GOLD FIELD, WESTERN SHANDONG PROVINCE

The geological anomly unit methed (GALJM), based on the ore-forming theory for the location of the geological anomaly,is a new unit-classitication method for the application of the comprehensive information quantitative data to the measurement of the "ore-generating geological anomaly unit". In this paper, the analysis is made of the comprehensive information features of the gold-forming geological background of the Tongshi gold field; then a detailed investigation is presented into the component znation trend of the "ore-generating geological anomaly", and finally a pattern is the of the deep geological structure resulting in the gold mineral resources system.On there bases,the ore-controlling geological anomaly indicator and geological ore-deposit anomaluy indicator can both be used to consitute the variables favorable for the ore formation.In addition,the ore-forming favorability can be used to delineate the potential areas of the mineral resurces.
