PETROPHYSICAL FACIES OF LOW PERMEABILITY AND FINE GRAIN RESERVOIR SANDSTONES IN XINMIN OILFIELD

The petrophysical facies is considered as the complex of petrophysial characteristics in reservoir rock,which reflects the information of pore texture affected by sedimentation,diagenesis and micro-fracture.The hydraulic property is similar in one petrophysical facies unit.Based on a modified Kozeny-Carman equation,FZI (flow zone indicator) can be used to indentify petrophysical facies. The petrophysical facies is divided into 3 classes and 5 types in Xinmin oilfield,in which reservoir sandstones have low permeability and fine grain size and are deposited in the shallow water delta system. ψ-k relationship equation is variant in different petrophysical facies. By using the new method,we can improve permeability predictions in uncored intervals or wells.
