RESEARCH ADVANCE OF 3D DIGITAL CORE ANALYSIS BASED ON THE MICRO-FOCUS CT

3D digital core analysis technique based on the micro-focus CT has become one of the most effective methods for researching the fluid flowing and displacing mechanisms on the scale of the rock pore.From the viewpoints of the micro-focus CT,simulating method and evaluation of the reservoir physical-property parameters,the research advance of 3D digital core analysis technology at home and abroad is discussed,thus the references are presented for the further study and investigation of the technique.The summary of the current conditions of the core analysis and research show that there are three following problems needed to be improved and further investigated:(1) upscaling modeling for the flowing and displacing mechanisms in the porous media;(2) accurate characterization of the petrophysical properties on the pore scale;(3) 3D digital core analysis of unconventional hydrocarbon resources.
