Application of InverMod inversion in the prediction of sandstone

InverMod inversion interpolates and extrapolates the interpreted seismic layers, constrained by the logging curves, generating an initial geological model, and then starting principal component analysis, finally making way model estimation, multiple attributive profiles of 3-dimensional seismic data body: impedance, natural gamma, resistivity, etc. The paper, by using InverMod inversion of Jason Geosystem BV for Putaohua oil layer in Aonan field, predicts the sand body distribution. Sandstone spreads from the north to the south like banding and with the thickness increasing from the north to the south, the test result and forecast result geared very well. These results can offer a basis for correctly understanding sandbody distribution of reservoir, and may serve as a guide to new well drilling.
