Viscoelasticity and factors of polymer solution

Aimed at the problem that the corresponding relation between Weissenberg number and mass concentration and salinity of polymer solution is not clear,HAAKE RS150 rheometer is used and through steady and dynamic shear experiments,the effects of mass concentration and salinity on the viscoelasticity of polymer solution in low shear rate have been discussed,and the first normal-stress difference and Weissenberg number are calculated.The results show that with the increase of the mass concentration of polymer solution and the decrease of salinity,the first normal-stress difference and Weissenberg number increase,the viscoelasticity of polymer solution increases.Weissenberg number of ordinary polymer solution used in the oilfield is about 1 in the condition of shear rate is 10 s-1 and the salinity is 508 mg/L.
