THE APPLICATION OF THE HIGH DENSITY RESISTIVITY METHOD FOR THE SEAWAVE-PROOF DAM IN ZHUHAI-HARBOUR

The high density resistivity method is taking more and more important role in the en-gineering prospecting. The theory and characteristics of this method is discussed conciselyin the paper. We performed the resistivity measurments on the seawave-proof dam inZhuhai, Guangdong province with the geoelectrical instrument MCOHM-21 made inJapan, and processed the transversc profile data by the program prepared in the instru-ment. The color or psudo-grade section gives directly the shape of the dam. Along the damaxis, we measured the profile part by part, processed the field data with the programe de-signed by us and plotted the contour map of the whole section, it gives out the engineeringstructure quality and deepth of the dam. In summary, we evaluated the feasibility of theelectical mensured data to estimate the engineering structure quality of the dam.
