VELOCITY ANALYSIS IN ANISOTROPIC MEDIA

Wan Zhichao; Teng Jieweng; Zhang Bingming(Institute of Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 100101 )
Velocity analysis is very important for seimic data proccssing and interpretation. Thetraditional velocity analysis technique depended on isotropic assumption has made greatachievement. However, It may bring out errors resuling in misinterpretation when appiliedin pratical anisotropic media. This paper introduce the limit of traditional velocity analyslsand the achievement and problem of velocity analysis in anisotropic media in recent years.
