THE APPLICATIONS OF GROUND-PENETRATION RADAR IN ARCHAEOLOGICAL PROSPECTION

As one kind of high-resolution near-surface geophysical technology,ground-penetration radar is suitable for archaeological prospection,where the target is shallow,small and similar with its surrounding materials. Several geophysical surveys into "bearing" stone,rammed earth structure and early phase of tombs with ground-penetration radar approach have been successfully carried out in the south of China. Also emphasis on data processing and interpretation are given in this paper.
