S-WAVE SPLITTING CALCULATION AND DISCUSSION ABOUT THE CORRELATIVITY BETWEEN MEDIUM ANISOTROPY AND DEEP STRUCTURE FROM THE TAI'AN-XINZHOU DSS PROFILE

By effective identification of S wave phase with DSS data and with the caclulation method of S wave splitting parameters, S wave data from Tai'an Xinzhou profile were calculated and analyzed. As a result, reliable evicence was obtained with respect to crustal medium anisotropy and anomaly of regional stress field orirentation in the region. Analytical comparation with focal mechanism soulution and results of deep structure shows that S wave polarization anomaly is closely related to ultra crustal faults and deep tectoic activities. This indicates that the study of S wave splitting with DSS data is of great importance the understanding of medium anisotropy and crustal dynamic characteristics.
