Geophysical Evidences of Some Important Faults in South China and Adjacent Marginal Seas Region

HAO Tian-yao LIU Jian-hua SONG Hai-bin XU Yi (Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing,100101,China)
South China and adjacent marginal seas region is located in the area where Euro-Asia Plate, Philippine Plate and India Plate meet together. It's an important window to research the formation and evolution about Chinese Continent and marginal seas. In this paper, 39 main faults with different directions in research area are distinguished after processing (horizontal direction derivative, wavelet transform and inversion for special sections) and analysis for gravity and magnetic data of research area. The feature, extension direction of some faults (for example: Red River Fault) and relationship between faults and adjacent geological blocks are discussed according to geophysical anomaly features.
