Advances in Deformation Response for the Activity of Geo-Fluid

The volume change of a reservoir directly induces displacement or deformation at the Earth′s surface. With surface deformation field, internal development of reservoir and its property can be detected. In this paper, we present the schemes and results to study the occurrence of earthquake from oil/gas production, surface subsidence from geothermal production and surface uplifting from magma intrusion. The above-mentioned results demonstrate the measurement of surface deformation is one of effective measures to monitor the varying process of internal fluid reservoir.
