Advances in Deformation Response for the Activity of Geo-Fluid

ZHANG Hui 1,2 YANG Bao-jun2 (1.Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 100101, China; 2.Department of Geophysics, Jilin University, Changchun 130026, China)
The volume change of a reservoir directly induces displacement or deformation at the Earth′s surface. With surface deformation field, internal development of reservoir and its property can be detected. In this paper, we present the schemes and results to study the occurrence of earthquake from oil/gas production, surface subsidence from geothermal production and surface uplifting from magma intrusion. The above-mentioned results demonstrate the measurement of surface deformation is one of effective measures to monitor the varying process of internal fluid reservoir.
