CSAMT observation system study in high mountain and steep gorge area

Generally the observation mode is used in field CSAMT observation. The vertical distance from observation line to source part is about 6-8km, the current poles A and B line is parallel to the receiver pole's line. In the high mountain and steep gorge area, because of sharp relief of earth topography, the source and receiver units can not be arranged as the above mentioned best mode. In this paper by means of 1D forward EM modeling technique, the CSAMT observation systems, which are suitable to the mountain and steepy gorge area, are studied. The advance and shore comings of these observation systems are compared. The suggestion of corresponding inversion method are proposed.
