The wave field characteristics of 2-D transversely isotropic elastic random medium

This paper,through the staggered-mesh finite difference simulations of the wave equations,simulated thepropagation of the seismic wave and relevant zero offset time record in the various transversely isotropic elastic ran-dom medium models.To study the wave field characteristics of 2-D transversely isotropic elastic random medium,weseparately calculated the statistical characterizations(Horizontal center frequency,vertical center frequency and rela-tive magnitude of the wave field energy)in the five different time sections.In this way,corresponding to every singletransversely isotropic elastic random medium model,we can calculate and gained 15 different wave field characteristicquantities.Via the forward modeling in the 2-D transversely isotropic elastic random medium,we studied the changefeatures of the wave field characteristic quantities as changing the media's autocorrelation length and anisotropic coeffi-cient.Confirmed in the random medium models that the change of the anisotropic coefficients will arouse the change ofsome statistical behavior in the wave field records,induced and gained several conclusions.
