Precursory anomalies of geomagnetic field dynamic subordinate function method

The earthquake precursors are related to various geophysical observational techniques and their metric units are also different. Therefore, the direct quantitative comparistion among various precursory anomalies is impossible. This brings difficulty to predict earthquake. Aimed at this technical difficulty, anomaly subordinate function μ(non-dimensional value) is used to normalize precursory anomalies of different property and metric units. Based on the calculation of subordinate function with the geomagnetic data Cangshan earthquake of M s5.2 (sept.20,1995) has obvious precursory anomalies. The recognition of true anomalies is improved. Some questions are proposed and must be paid attention in applying magaetic precursors for eaithquke predition.
