Application of elastic impendence inversion in seismic monitoring of the heavy-oil thermal recovery

The variation of reservoir characteristics mainly show the changes of reservoir velocity and actual seismic response caused by the change of elastic parameters In the process of seismic monitoring of the heavy-oil thermal recovery.For this reason,elastic parameters should be the most direct and sensitive indication for the variation of reservoir characteristics under certain condition.In the paper,the method of elastic impendence inversion is introduced in detail and used in the inversion and explanation of seismic monitoring data.Results show it is feasible for elastic impendence inversion to be used in seismic monitoring of the heavy-oil thermal recovery.
