The load effect of local tide on displacement

The load effect of local tide on displacement at some coastal stations in China is investigated by using the global ocean tide model of TPXO6 and local tide data over the East and South China seas.The results show that the magnitude of load effect on displacement reaches the order of mm,which is a notable factor in geodynamic research over coastal area by GPS technique.Especially,at Xiamen station,the amplitudes are close to 3mm and 15mm for horizontal and vertical components respectively.In addition,the horizontal displacements at the stations vary differently and the extremes appear along different azimuths for different stations.Meanwhile,for vertical component,apparently,the value at Shanghai station varies inversely in phase comparing with the ones at other stations.The results in present will provide a benefit reference for GPS data processing.
