Computing induction logging response with an oblique coordinate system

As the complexity of dealing with the boundary of the deviated wells with the orthogonal coordinate system,the computation of induction logging response using an oblique coordinate system is discussed.First using the Maxwell system and the method of approximation in item-by-item we establish the analytic solution for vector electric potential.Then computing induction electromotive force in receive loop by finite-difference method and solving apparent conductivity.Finally using example computation in formation model with different thickness and deviated effect of the well bore and comparing with academic solution,the result indicates that the gridding tallies with boundary.We can obtain higher precision using less discrete gridding.It is the valid method in solving induction logging response of deviated wells.
