Analysis of reservoir heterogeneity based on random media models

This paper describes the complex reservoir heterogeneity using random media models.Random media are generated with different model characteristics which are heterogeneity aspect ratio,vertical spectral exponent,horizontal spectral exponent and fluctuation standard deviation.Based on the analysis of Ru-Shan Wu et.al,reservoir heterogeneity spectra are obtained by using records of two wells of on oil-gas field.Vertical spectral exponents of large-scale and small-scale heterogeneities are gained from the power spectrum curves.We estimate the horizontal spectral exponents and heterogeneity aspect ratios of large-scale and small-scale heterogeneities along with the best fit by comparing the cross-correlation coefficients of two-dimensional random medium simulation logs and that of the two holes.Heterogeneity aspect variations are analysed quantitatively from different aspects using varied characteristics,and lay a foundation for reservoir lateral prediction.
