Possibility to detect wenchuan M8 earthguake by the Earthquake Warning System

LI Yong(National Astronomical Observatories,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Beijing 100012,China)  
The Earthquake Warning System(Test Version) upon the planet Earth which has been developed independently by the National Astronomical Observatories of Chinese Academy of Sciences.We employ it to investigate the Wenchuan M8 Earthquake,which occurred on May 12,2008.In the prediction curve the abnormality can be detected and it gives an 8-day deviation behind the real quake date.It is pointed out that if we scanned this area before the quake,the possible warning information may be obtained earlier.This work also indexes the hazard periods for M≥6 quakes that will probably happen there from May to August in 2008.
