Application of seismic imaging method to the exploration of dump pit-example on Yongdinghe river of Beijing

The exploration of Yong Ding River garbage pit was the basic part of the river restoration project.In order to preliminarily delineate the scope of the rubbish pit,authors had done some investigation and research.As to the irregular of rubbish distribution among varieties of geophysical prospecting methods,authors chose the seismic imaging method to explore.Using seismic imaging method data and combining with validation hole material,its spatial distribution and occurrence can be precisely identified,and the conclusion provided the reliable basis for the management and restoration.The seismic imaging method is successful for application of the exploration of dump pit,it can be used in other similar projects for reference,and it shows that the seismic imaging method has an extensive application prospect in the city engineering exploration.
