The satellite gravity data applied in the Cambodia Kampong basin

The Cambodia Kampong basin located in the east Gulf of Thailand.The exploration in this basin is low because of some history reason.The hydrocarbon research doesn't carry out before,thus seismic data and well log data are lack.Kampong basin is a Meso-Paleozoic basin and located in the east of the paleo-Thetis suture zone.The basin that recognized as a intraplate-craton basin until the Permian,became the intracontinental rift basin after the late Triassic,as the tectonic movement.In order to analyze evaluate the hydrocarbons potential,we integrated the seismic and high accuracy satellite gravity data(sample density:0.02°×0.02°),to calculate Bouguer gravity anomaly,the gravity vertical second-order derivative and the gravity level total gradient anomaly,According to the gravity field theory and the global gravitational field model(EGM96).Finally,Based on seismic constrained gravity inversion and interpreted integration,the research forecasts the basement depth,analyzes the fault system and divide the tectonic unit.Conclusions:(1)The basement is Carboniferous and below formations,with roughly undulated interface.The basement is with alternating uplifts and depressions,the depth of basement is deeper in the eastern and middle western parts,shallower in the middle eastern and western parts with depth of 4000-5000m,the biggest subsidence center is approximately 8000m.(2)The basin can be divided into four tectonic units:Narathiwat uplift,western depression,Poulo Wai uplift and Eastern depression.The age of the Narathiwat uplift and western depression western depression is Cenozoic and Mesozoic.The Poulo Wai uplift can be subdivided into two secondary units:northern slope and western uplift.The age of the cap rock of the Poulo Wai uplif and the eastern depression is the Mesozoic Paleozoic.(3)The uplifts and depressions are developed in north-south direction,while a few of highpoints were developed in uplifts and a few of sedimentation centers in depressions.The mainly structural type is anticline and fault-nose,with the NNW-SSE trend,irregular long ellipse shape,big scale and big exploration potential.
