Research progress on the inner flexure of lithosphere and its mechanical properties using gravity anomaly

It made the permanent records of gravity anomaly field with numerous wavelengths as the inner flexure of the lithosphere at spatial or temporal multi-scale.As we known,the main aim was to explain the relationship between the topography and gravity anomaly using the isostasy hypothesis.From the Airy or Pratt isostastic model as the local compensation model,to the regional compensation model as well as the flexure isostasy,the evaluation system was formed which focused on the problem of lithospheric effective elastic thickness(EET).The EET parameter used to evaluate the mechanical strength of lithosphere and its relative physical property.The relative researches have become the highlights on the geodynamic field.In this paper,we firstly give an introduction on the experimental isostasy method and make a summary on the development of gravitational admittance.Secondly,we focused on the EET concept,principle and method and further to systematically summarize the relative research progresses in this field.
