Application of the ground source transient electromagnetic method in research for multimetal mine in Xiongershan area

Through theoretical study and field experiment,this paper summarizes the device parameters of the Ground Source Transient Electromagnetic Method in deep exploration,and the device was used in Longmendian ore vein K9 exploration.The most important parameter of the Ground Source Transient Electromagnetic Method is the offset distance and ground source length.In theory the offset distance only affect amplitude attenuation of the first level and speed of transient decay curves.But in the field test,when the offset is 500 m,this method produces the Induced Polarization effect,when the offset is 1000 m,the Induced Polarization effect disappears.The distance betwen the transmitter of the Induced Polarization interference is only smaller.The results of field experiment shows that the Induced Polarization effect can be effectively suppressed when the offset is greater than 840 m.the ground source AB length is generally 1000~2000 m.when the SNR is large,it is small values.It is indicated that the device parameters of the Ground Source Transient Electromagnetic Method was applied in Longmen depsit surveying,the result shows that the Ground Source Transient Electromagnetic Method(GSTEM)is the portable and flexible,probing depth,high resolution,multi receivers at the same time,the rapid economic,it is suitable for mountain areas of nonferrous metal geological prospecting.
