DISCUSSION CONCERNING WITH TOMOGRAPHIC INVERSIONS OF SEISMIC SURFACE WAVES

Different methods concerning with tomographic inversions of seismic surface waves on the regional earth structure have been discussed in this paper.The advantages and defects are evaluated for these inverse methods. Block inverse method, eigenfunction expansion method,spherical Radon transform method,Tarantola probability method and waveform inverse method for the regional crust and mantle structure inversion from the seismic surface waves have been discussed here. Advantages and defects of these methods are appraised.The numerical simulation examples are given for some inverse methods.
