THE DIRECT PROBLEM OF MAGNETIC PROSPECTING UNDER ANISOTROPIC CONDITION AND THE SOLUTION TO SOLVE IT

WANG SHU-HUI(Beijing Geological Institute, Ministry of Metallurgical Industry)  
In this paper, the anisotropic property of a magnetic body is characterized by the susceptibility tensor, magnetic inductivity tensor and remanent magnetization. The mathematical model of the direct problem of magnetic prospecting under anisotropic condition is presented. This model is that the total magnetic potential must be defined by the following partial differential equations and definite conditions:where, S1+ is the bounding surface of the magnetic body Ω1,. S1- is the inner bounding surface of the nonmagnetic space Ω0 and S大 is the exterior surface, n is a outward normal vector at a point of the closed boundary of every area. ρ is density of the remanent magnetic charge. U0 is the magnetic potential of the earth magnetic field.Then, the formulas (for two dimensional) to solve the direct problem by finite element method are presented.
