Using numerical solutions of 2-D and 3-D nonsteady-state heat advective-conducrion equations to simulate tectonically thermal evolution have been studied in this paper.The finite element method and differential method have been used for discreteness in space and time domains respectively, and the advection finite element equations have been derived.The authors developed an upwind scheme and proposed a method which combined finite element method, differential method, upwind scheme with net-changeable and nod-changeable methods to simulate tectonically thermal evolution, including advection.The paper also disscussed the processes of initial conditions, boundary conditions and various heat sources.
