WAVELET TRANSFORM AND MULTI-SCALE ANALYSIS ON GRAVITY ANOMALIES OF CHINA

Two-dimensional wavelet transform and the multiscale analysis are applied to decompose the gravity field of China. Numerical tests have shown that the wavelet analysis is a powerful tool for decomposition of the reginal gravity anomalies. Using thetechnique of multiscale analysis, We decompose the Bouguer gravity field of China into multiscale components which give new geological meanings for studying the chineselithosphere.
