ELECTROMAGNETIC EMISSIONS DURING QUARRY BLASTING

Electromagnetic emissions have been detected during quarry blasting, by using anESMI electromagnetic interference receiver and a high quality tape recorder withmultifrequency antennas placed at the horizontal distance of 20m, 80m, and 100mfrom the shot point respectively. Both the EM signals and seismological wave wereobserved simultaneously by the tape recorder system during the blasts, and a largenumber of EM emissions were also recorded after the blasts. It has been discussedthat the properties of the results with their significance in seismology.
