A PHYSICAL INTERPRETATION OF WAVELET ANALYSIS FOR POTENTIAL FIELDS

The basic wavelets of a potential field are constructed in this paper. On the basic of the dyadic wavelet transform. The physical characters of wavelet decomposition and reconstruction for potential fields are analyzed by a simple model. The consistency of the distributions of wavelet transforms in the frequency bands with the distribution of "normalized" potential fields in the space is demonstrated. The regularity of wavelet reconstruction is interpreted. The features of anomaly separating with relation to wavelet reconstruction are also described.
