DISCUSSION ON THERMAL WAVE MODEL USED IN THE THERMAL EVOLUTION ANALYSIS IN THE TARIM BASIN

A thermal wave model was established based on the observation in Tarim Basin data by means of wave analysis. The thermal history of the Well TZ10 was simulated using vitrinite reflectance data and the new model. The thermal wave model was tested and verified by the apatite fission track data in the well. The model can be applied to study complicated thermal history of sedimentary basins and is suitable to study thermal history in the strata where paleothermometers cannot be found and or drilling did not reach.
