NEW INSIGHTS IN SOME IMPORTANT EVENTS OF CHINA GEOLOGICAL EVOLUTION:ADVANCES IN THE PALEOMAGNETIC STUDY OF CHINA

This paper reports the updated progresses in the paleomagnetic study of China,which yielded better understanding of some important events of China geological evolution,i.e.the implications in the relationship between the amalgamation of North and Yangtze Blocks and Qinling orogenic belt,the north boundary of Gondwana land and the configuration of eastern Tethys, the magnetic profiles of China loess sections,the northward movement of Chinamainland since Pleistocene,and the manifest of the record of Blake reversal polarity episode in the Brunhes normal polarity epoch.
