STUDY OF A ELASTIC WAVE HIGH-ORDER DIFFERENCE METHOD AND ITS STABILITY IN ANISOTROPIC MEDIA

Stability is one of the most important conditions in which we numerically solve the wave equations.Using the elastic wave equations in orthorhombic and hexagonal media we have studied the staggered-grid high-order difference method,whose accuracy be arbitrarily in time and space,and deduced the stability conditions of the method.Hence,we have established the basis of applying this accruate-efficient numerical method to forward and inversion problems in seismic anisotropy.
