ABSORBING BOUNDARY CONDITIONS FOR ANISOTROPIC ELASTIC WAVE EQUATIONS

In this paper two kinds of absorbing boundary conditions for the anisotropic elastic wave equations are presented. One of them is of analytical form, which generalizes the Clayton-Engquist-majda conditions for the acoustic and isotropic elastic wave equations. Another one is of discrete form, which is an improvement over the Liao Zhenpeng condition.The stability and reflection properties of the given conditions are analysed. The results of numerical experiments have confirmed their satisfactory absorbing effect for the artificial reflective waves.
