THE MAGNETIC STRUCTURE OF GEOSCIENCE TRANSECT FROM YADONG TO GOLMUD

The magnetic profile from Yadong, Xizang to Golmud, Qinghai, with an overall length of 1,619km, is presented in this paper. The measured anomaly is normally corrected based on the International Geomagnetic Reference Field 1985.0(IGRF 1985.0)model, and the result is compared with the anomalies corrected based on the IGRF 1980.0 model and a three order power series model. Using this magnetic data, the mapping of vertical magnetic susceptibility and the calculating of depths to the top and bottom of the crust magnetic layer in the transect are carried out. Then with the interactive modelling technique, the magnetic structure of the geoscience transect from Yadong to Golmud was derived, and its geological significance is discussed.
