ANALYSIS OF OBSERVED SIZE DISTRIBUTION OF ATMOSPHERIC AEROSOLS

Some measurements on the size distribution of atmospheric aerosol at three sites near Beijing are presented and analyzed in this paper. The measurements in large and giant particle range can be fitted by the same kind of distribution function with different parameters. Piecewise fitting technique using Junge and Deirmendjian distributions is presented. It is found that the fitting accuracy is improved and the features of distribution of aerosol particles in different size ranges can be reflected clearly.
