Wang Yunkuan Liu Junqing Huang Zhonghua (Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Academia Sinica)  
By making use of fluid dynamical simulation, the tropical cyclones over the Bay of Bengal to the south of the Plateau and near 25癗 are preliminarily studied. This dynamic effect of the huge topography is variable in terms of various tracks of the tropical cyclones over the Bay of Bengal which approach the Plateau.We have presented the horizontal flow patterns at the low, middle and upper levels and the vertical cross-sections for three tracks of the tropical cyclones approaching the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau and estimated the radial profiles of wind speed.
