Short Period Evolvemental Characteristics ofSodium Layers over Wuhan, China

The mesospheric sodium data, observed from 1 March to 3 March 1996 in Wuhan(30°32′N, 1 14°22′E) by a lidar, have been analyzed, and the short period evolvement profile of distribution of Na atom density with the altitude have been obtained. The results show that the distributions ofNa atom density changes apparently. The variation of Na atoms density can reach 50% within onehour.
