DAMAGE IDENTIFICATION METHOD OF STEEL STRUCTURAL CRACK AT LOW TEMPERATURE I:THEORY

At low temperature, structural steel tends to be more brittle and cracks easily. In this paper, the crack is modeled by the degradation of flexural rigidity and the cracks can be detected with strain mode. Strain model analysis is a damage diagnosis method which is sensitive to damage location and damage degree. In the end,the application of strain mode method is evaluated.
