DAMAGE IDENTIFICATION METHOD OF STEEL STRUCTURAL CRACK AT LOW TEMPERATURE :NUMERICAL SIMULATION

In this paper,the crack is modeled by the degradation of bending stiffness and the crack damage is detected with strain mode method.Strain modal analysis was a damage diagnosis method which is sensitive to damage location and damage degree.As an example,the displacement mode of a simply supported beam is calculated using finite element software with powerful functions,and then strain modal analysis of the simply supported beam for single-position damage and multi-position damage respectively is carried through the one-order differential relationship between strain and displacement.
