It was shown by the monitoring data that deep excavation could induce peripheral ground settlement.According to the practice of deep excavation of the underground transformer substation for the world exposition of shanghai 2010,FLAC3D was employed to establish a numerical model to simulate the deep excavation.The results were in good agreement with the field test data.Then,effects of soil's elastic modulus,permeability coefficient and the wall's stiffness to the land subsidence were analyzed and presented.It was demonstrated by the theoretical results that land subsidence increases with the increase of soil's elastic modulus,but the influence of wall's stiffness and soil's permeability coefficient were little.
