Effects of anisodamine on the expression of TNFα and IL-8 in pulmonary tissue of rats with LPS induced acute lung injury

Objective To investigate the preventive and therapeutic effects of anisodamine(654 2) on LPS induced acute lung injury (ALI) and its mechanism. Methods The change of the expression and the content of tumor necrosis factor α (TNFα),interleukin 8(IL 8) mRNA and protein in pulmonary tissue of ansodamine treated rats with ALI were measared with in situ hybridization and ELISA. Meanwhile, the pathologic changes were examined with light microscope. Results The administration of 654 2 inhibited the expression of TNFα, IL 8 mRNA and protein, and alleviated the pulmonary tissue damage. Conclusion 654 2 has a protective effect on rats with ALI through down regulating of the expression of TNFα and IL 8.
