Block Gap Influence on Seismic Performance of Bridge Pier in Transverse Direction

The model is given to analyze the seismic performance of single bridge pier in transverse direction.It demonstrates the relationship between block gap and bridge pier-block-support in the analysis of the seismic performance of single bridge pier in transverse direction.After then,it makes analysis and comparison of the block gap influence on seismic performance of pier in transverse direction when adoption of three different blocks i.e.elastic block,rubber buffer block,and elastic-plastic block by nonlinear time tracing method.
