ON CAUSES AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONSEQUENCES OF THE UPLIFTOF QINGHAI-XIZANG PLATEAU

Tang Maocang Liu Yanxiang (Cold and Arid Regions environmental and Engineering Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Lanzhou 730000)  
The time-variation of its uplift was recalculated by using new geomagnetic polarity data on basis of numeric model of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau rising. In the rising history, the condensation level (H≥H c) was up to 2 000m three times, and at the same time there were three typical monsoon climate periods. The strong positive geomagnetic polarity responded to the strong rising of the Plateau and a low sea level. And the long reversal polarity was responded to the razing period of the Plateau and a high sea level. But the turning of sea level is later 0.8~1.0 Ma than the geomagnetic reversal.$$$$
