Reasonable Length of an Urban Rail Transit Line

Reasonable length of an urban rail transit line constitutes an important issue in rail transit planning which affects directly the scale of network and reflects the implementation of the outlook of public financial management in network planning.In view of the discussion about 'the reasonable length of an urban rail transit line should be 15~35 km',the author performed a comprehensive analysis on the affecting factors for the reasonable length of an urban rail transit line in terms of the function orientation of urban rail transit,integration of urban rail transit and city planning,integration of urban communications,non-stop character of the line and new outlook of financial management,with some suggestions put forward.
