Study of distribution and safety of refrigerant in R290 split air-conditioner

R290 split type air conditioners was divided into six separate components based on its structural characteristics. The refrigerant distribution regularities in various components in different charge of 1P and 1. 5P R290 split type air conditioner were studied. The results show that although the most of the refrigerant is distributed in the condenser,the amount of refrigerant in the entire low-pressure side accounts for50%-60% of the total charge when air conditioner is running stage. After shutdown 1. 5h,the amount in the entire low-pressure side accounts for 85%-92%.
