Study of Water Frost Thermal Conductivity

The concept of general frost thermal conductivity is presented and it is found out that when frost thermal conductivity being concerned, both the complexity of frost structure and the heat of sublimation of vapour frosted should be counted in. Based on the energy equation, the general frost thermal conductivity is drived to be the sum of the effective frost thermal conductivity and the effective vapour thermal conductivity. The calculated thermal conductivities of frost are compared with the experimental data and found to agree well.
