EFFECT OF QUENCHING VELOCITY ON THE BOILINGHEAT TRANSFER OF SMALL SAMPLE EJECTINGINTO SATURATED LN2

The effect of quenching velocity on the boiling heat transfer is experimentally investigated when small sample ejecting into saturated liquid nitrogen(LN2) in high speed.The 14 small mental spheres in diameter 01~30mm are plunged into saturated LN2 at a speed 2~6m/s,and the moving distance in LN2 called quenching distance in this paper is 50cm.As the result of the decreaging of sphere diameter and the increasing of quenching speed,the curves of boiling heat flux are shifted upward and right dramatically and the shape of the curves are changed significantly.The influence of the quenching distance is also discussed.
