An Approach of Optimal Power Flow and Reactive Power Optimization

The classical optimal power flow and reactive power optimization problem is solved by an explicit approach which is based on Newton method, quadratic penalty function method and active set method. Solution effort is approximately proportional to network size, and is relatively independent of the number of controls. The program package has many functions, and has become a necessary tool for power system optimization analysis.
