AN IMPROVING FUZZY CLUSTERING ALGORITHM IN LONG\|TERM LOAD FORECASTING

In general, the load variation of power system of a certain region in a middle\|or long\|period can not be correctly described by only using the information from power system itself, because it is restricted by many\|sided indefinite factors such as economic condition, management policy and so on. But using fuzzy clustering and from the viewpoint of development of economy it is possible to forecast the load in middle\|or long\|period. In this paper an improved fuzzy clustering based algorithm for middle\|or long\|period load forecasting is put forward in which the F selecting technique is combined. Comparison of the calculation results from this algorithm and other three algorithms shows that the result from this method is more accurate.
